[ale] ATI GL drivers? (ubuntu+google earth?)

All I did was d/l the ATI installer for ati.com and run it as root.
Worked perfectly for me on my new laptop.  I'm no big fan of ATI, but
their installers always seem to work well for me.  With U6, I would
advise removing the current ATI (fglrx) drivers if you have them
installed, they come in the linux-image-restricted modules package.

I noticed that the linux-image-restricted package contains all outdated
modules for my new laptop, so removing it didn't break anything else
that wasn't already broke. ;-)
