Maildrop is my new friend. I have postfix handing all mail off to
maildrop, running as 'vmail'. Vmail's maildrop rules filter the mail
for all my LDAP users. It is good to have my mailing list traffic
auto-sorted again.

The logical next step is to make maildrop as dynamic as possible, as
currently each new mailbox requires a new conditional in the maildrop
configuration.

If anyone is remotely interested in this setup, I will be glad to
provide some details. I guess it is worth a nice writeup once I get it
all hashed out nicely (and get un-lazy enough to revive my site ;) ).
