[ale] Connecting with SUSE 10.0

The Davicom would not even ping the router, so I replaced it with a Linksys 
Etherfast.  I can now ping the IP address of the Linksys WRT54G router 
(192.168.1.1) but I still cannot ping any other PC on my local network much 
less get out to The Internet.  I tried shutting off the firewall on the 
router, but that did not help.  I am going nuts!
