There's Damn Small Linux ( http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/ ). It weighs in at
50mb with X, a rather good collection of apps, and upgradeable as hell. I've
got it on my laptop- and I've basically upgraded it to a full Debian install
(based on Knoppix/Debian). It's sweet!
