[ale] multi-processor vs. Tape Drive

I do not know how to determine if the kernels are the same.  They are the ones that were automatically created when I installed Fedora.

"rmmod st; modprobe st" does not seem to accomplish much. 
dmesg output:
st: Unloaded.
st: Version 20041025, fixed bufsize 32768, s/g segs 256

No change in /proc/scsi/scsi or /dev
