Software Engineer ? C/LINUX Developer

This position is for a company that has grown form $250M to $750M in 
only five years. They are looking for C/LINUX developers who can thrive

Contract position that will move into a permanent position at 3 to 6 months

Position Summary

Only eligible US Citizens or Green Card holders with appropriate 
documentation will be considered. Must be able and willing to travel 
domestically and internationally (with valid papers) up to 20%.
The Software Engineer is responsible for full lifecycle development on 
assigned software projects. The assigned projects will include both new 
software installations and support of existing installations.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

? Develop high quality software on time and within budget.
? Perform as a team player, taking full ownership and responsibility for 
the deliverables.
? Participate in full lifecycle development activities.
? All other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Position Requirements/Skills Abilities:

1. Four year degree in computer science.
2. 2+ years experience developing with C in a LINUX environment.
3. 2+ years experience with bit/byte packing
4. 2+ years experience with shared memory
5. 2+ years experience with multi-process architecture - IPC, resource 
locks, signal handling.
6. 2+ years experience with debugging a multi-process architecture. 7. 
Proven logical and consistent thought process and programming style. 8. 
Ability to research/understand previously written library routines and 
develop code consistent with the general architecture.
9. Strong research and analysis skills and a quick learner - must able 
to research, review and figure out existing infrastructure
10. Proven diligence testing your code thoroughly before delivering it 
to QA.
11. Experience in high volume transactional processing environment 
preferred.
12. Demonstrated experience in software development (not just coding) is 
required.
13. Experience in networked application programming
14. Experience with relational database systems
15. Experience with Test Driven Development and automated unit testing 
frameworks in strongly preferred.
16. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet tight 
deadlines with attention to detail/accuracy.
17. Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
18. Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally 
(with valid papers) up to 20%.
