    I am heading up a small keysigning party here in Atlanta next week.
 Here's the information:

What:  Keysigning Party
When:  Tuesday, August 2nd, 6:30 PM

Who:   Folks with their key established and GPG
       fingerprints printed out per instructions
WHy:   To get your GPG key signed and thereby increase
       its trustworthiness

    If you are interested in personal encryption and signing for
security in messaging and communication on the Internet, a PGP or GPG
key is the vehicle for using it.  Getting your key signed by persons who
validate your identity in person is a means of strengthening your key's
trustworthiness within a "web of trust".  Basically, the more your key
has been signed by other people who are also getting their keys signed,
the more trustworthy your key is.
    Basically, The Local is low-key with reasonably-priced drinks and
food.  There's also an Internet caf? within walking distance that has
free wifi for their customers who buy coffee or something like that, if
anyone wanted to geek out even further afterward.  Guidelines for
setting up a GPG key and preparing what you need for a keysigning
session are available on Debian's site[0]; that writeup is about the
most concise and all-in-one that I have seen.
