[ale] Laptop recommendation

I have a Dell 700m. Loaded Fedora and after a couple of hours had
everything working. Loaded SuSE 9.2 & 9.3 and after 15 minutes had
everything working.
Here again watch for ipw2200. The LCD is widescreen (1280x800) which
may cause a couple of issues.
