Oop, I converted that on an older perl (5.6.1) and 5.8.1 hiccups on it. 
Converting on 5.8.1 runs with no errors on 5.8.1 or 5.6.1.  But you get
the idea.


I really need to upgrade that FreeBSD box (or just toss it and get a Mac
Mini :) . . .
