Um....yes, but I dont have much say as to what's in my laptop.  I'd LOVE to 
trade it in for a nice PowerBook or brand new Thinkpad, but unfortunately 
that's not in the cards as a college student. 

I just checked and the sound is still working under Windows, so it's not the 
sound card itself gone bad, at least.
