[ale] torrent downloading lots of data, but it isn't getting to the disk

I don't claim to be an expert on this but I have gone through every
suggestion you can google up on the web to get Mandriva download to do
more than crawl. I have no trouble with torrents from other sites but
I have downloaded 9.2 and 10.0 from them and both took a week. I can
download other distros using bittorent in hours.

I finally emailed Mandriva for permission to FTP and they sent me an
email with a link, an ID and pwd that didn't work.

Here I sit pretty frustrated. I have been a Mandrake Club member for
three years. I pay more and get less than if I just ordered the CD
once a year.

If you find and answer let us know.

P.S. I assume you have looked at the Bitorrent FAQ. If you have a
router between you and the internet as I again assume we all do, You
need to open some non-standard ports,( 7070 and 6969 I think. You can
look it up on Bitorrents site) and make sure they forward to your
bittorenting PC.
