[ale] apache wierdness

what's the results for /index.html and /cgi-bin/printenv when you try it
from
1) from localhost
2) from DMZ  or intranet, aka., behind the firewall which NATs the
apache
2) from outside

apache log: does access_log shows the hang request as an success?
