[ale] Help! moving a Red Hat 8 drive to a pre-existing XP system

Guys,

Thanks for the input.  I ended up moving my important files off the drive,
wiping it, and installing UserLinux.  The system was due for an upgrade
any, and I've been wanting to try UserLinux.

Anyway, still had to figure out how to get it to boot, so booted up with
Knoppix and chrooted to the new filesystem.  Then did a grub-install to
floppy.  This worked.  I also tried copying the first 512 bytes over to
WinXp and modifying the boot.ini file accordingly (like I did before). 
Got a little further this time....it'll display "Grub" in white characters
on a black screen, but doesn't go further than that.

Ah well...I'm beat, so I'll boot from floppy for now...
