(**NOTE** Hirsch has a PhD. None of my clients do.) I have run into
problems with the "seamless integration" issue. As more and more people
who are relatively clueless get computers, the seamlessness of "browsing
for files" is creating a "where did I find it?" problem. For an
accomplished computer user who understands the difference between a
local text file and a remote html file, the "swiss-army-knife" approach
offered by Konqueror is a nice shortcut. But for _most_ people, a change
in UI is needed so they can track where they are (local file vs. remote
file). For many people, the URL text box doesn't have enough visual
change to clearly delineate where they are pulling the information from.

I'll grant that most of my clients are still using <choke><spit>some
form of M$</spit></choke> and how they see the "seamless" stuff is a
similar model to what KDE is using. 

The clients I have that have made the switch have pounced on Gnome as a
way to force their staff to not use the same old bad habits.

That, of course, introduces an new level of "issues" to deal with.
