[ale] RAID1

Does RAID only mirror the partitions and not the MBR?  If so, which I 
think would be right, then grub would not be found on hdb.  Where is 
grub coming from right now?  Just curious since you say hda has "gone 
bad."  Would you be more specific?  Thanks,
