[ale] gnome 2.4 workspace switching

Has the ability to move between workspaces just by hitting the edge of 
your screen been removed?  The gnome documentation only gives the 
workspace switcher icon and the keyboard as options to move...

I just installed gnome 2.4 and am trying to quit fooling with it and go
back to work. ;)  I want to get rid of the damned icons on my desktop
(what is this, Windows??  it doesn't want to let me) and switch between
workspaces the way I'm used to...then I think I'll be set.
