I get the same feeling.  I went to interview for a google job with an almost
identical speel on what the job was about.  They did not hire me BTW...
Did not say why, but I have a feeling I was overqualified.  They kept asking
questions that sounded like they were woried with me getting bored with the
job...

In case it matters...I suspect the client is google.  They have a 
datacenter opening in town.
