In other words, when local user "mo" types "mail someone at somewhere",
you want your local sendmail to deliver that message to your site's
smart-host with "From: mo at nubridges.com"?

If that's the requirement, I recall a MASQUERADE_AS option
in the m4 source file that's used to generate sendmail.cf.
It's worked for me in the past, but now I use postfix ;-)
