I don't really play that much.  I got hooked on it one morning (about 
1am) while trying to derail some frustration over a coding problem.

If you want to take a different spin on it, there's an option called 
chain-reaction (-cr) which is kinda fun and will speed the game up for 
you.  Basically, if there are two adjacent bubbles of the same color 
that match the color of a bubble you just knocked down, that bubble will 
go back up and take those two out as well.

Play it to get a better understanding.

You can also tell it what level to start on with the '-l' option.
