[ale] glibc compatibility problem

Okay, I've checked and I do have the compat libs installed for older apps.
The libc.so.6 on SuSE 9.1 does provide GLIBC_2.0 but the modelling program
doesn't seem to find it. So, I am dumping 9.1 and going back to 9.0.
