[ale] Odd ssh behavior

I dunno.  I can't connect to it unless I am standing down there.  If I am, I
have all te connectivity I could want.  If not, I have nothing.

Very srange.  Almost like it's a setting in ssh.

It looks like you don't have network connectivity to 1.2.3.4. Can you ping
the host? Any other ports open on the box that you can connect to?
