[ale] Changing the default tty that XFree86 starts on?

Correct.  Of course, if you configure 12 ttys, it becomes tricky to switch to 
tty13.  So You might consider not running getty on one of your ttys.  If you 
don't run one on tty1 then X will be on tty1 and the other ttys will all be 
on ctrl-alt-f[2-12]
