Yep! symlink from the ttyS0 to pilot will work. Make sure that the tyS0
has permissions that allow the console user to read and write. If it's
just you on the box, set it mode 666. Otherwise, you'll need to make a
group "pilot", put the appropriate users into the pilot group, chown
root:pilot /dev/ttyS0 , chmod 660 /dev/ttyS0
