[ale] EL3.0 comparable to Fedora 1,2 or RH9?

If looking for apt repositories to add software to RHEL3.0 for Workstations,
what repositories would be appropriate? I've gotten apt-get installed and
also checkinstall by using the Fedora Core 1.0. However, if I want to get KDE
installed so I have access to K3B, the very nice DVD burning app, what
repositories would work properly? Currently, I also found a repository for
apt that has KDE ready to install that has RHEL3.0, however, after attempting
the install, I got conflicts with OO1.1 and SunJava links into Mozilla. That
seems such a trivial conflict yet the installation died. Better to have
apt-get not force the install than to cause conflicts. Any advice?

After dealing with rpm hell a few times, I am really liking apt-get. If
anyone is interested, I'd be happy to pass on my info and links once I've got
the kinks worked out.
