Dow,

I can log into mindspring. Can you give me an example smtp mail command? Is it different from a simple mail -s blabla john at blabla ?

John

Start back with the basics. Can you telnet to
207.69.200.246 at port 25 from your machine as user that is
running postfix? Are you able to manually via SMTP commands
at the smtp.mindspring.com server send an email? If so,
then can you set your ipchains or iptables to log the
exchange over the ports and ips being used and try sending
email with postfix again? Even better and in addition can
you capture the exchange with ethereal?
Dow
