hmmmm. I would like to see that tested and proven or unproven.  Really.
Seriously.  Maybe we could do the Best Buy MS vs. OS pc demo.  I would love
to see it done and the test subjects quizzed afterwards.  No.  Seriously.
Perhaps we could do it at MicroCenter or CompUSA, since both sell Linux and
both sell pc parts and diy kits.

However, I think that so called "educated" folks are often suseptible to
groupthink, or maybe it's just my cynicism coming out .. or maybe there is
only .01% of educated folks in the US (ever seen "jay walking" on Leno at
nite ?).  However, don't "educated" folks actively look for other options in
the first place when the present is unacceptable?  It wasn't until I had had
enough of MS that I started looking around for other stuff (thinking that
Apple was the only other choice) and that I discovered Open Source.  I don't
know.  I think my sheep theory is correct ... as painful as it is to
recognize it.
