[ale] Deep inside the K Desktop Environment 3.2

Walter - Red Hat has a utility _somewhere_ in the menus to switch the 
default desktop for the user. Using the utility, change the desktop to 
KDE, log out or restart your X session, and the desktop should be changed. 
I'm assuming that KDE was installed of course.
