The simplest way to avoid this is to buy Intel. But that is also the simplest
way to break your bank account.
I actually broke down and bought some sort of AMD chip for my gaming machine
(windows box) because it was cheaper. I really wanted the P4 out of that box and
in my full time desktop.

I used to be interested in Windows NT, but the more I see of it the more it
looks like traditional Windows with a stabler kernel. I don't find anything
technically interesting there. In my opinion MS is a lot better at making money
