Un tar it as root into /usr/local/firefox and make a link from
/usr/local/firefox/firefox to /usr/local/bin/firefox.

You will need to do the extension installs as root, but it makes them
available to everyone.

Oh. I almost forgot. Make link from <path to icon files>/firefox to
/usr/local/firefox/icons so it's easier to make launcher buttons.
