[ale] Vonage?

OK, now that Speakeasy is offering OneLink, their dialtone-less DSL service,
I'm seriously investigating moving from a BS dialtone line to Vonage (the
fact that I just found out I can keep my phone number doesn't hurt either).
I do have some technical questions, however, and I'm wondering if anyone has the
experience to answer these:
- Is the VoIP adapter able to operate with a NAT'ed IP behind an
Linux iptables firewall using unmodified MASQUERADE rules, or would one need
to set up a static NAT entry and port forwarding (or *ugh* a public IP)?
- Instead of connecting the phone jack directly to a phone, can one run it
to an existing phone jack and then connect other phones to the inside
wiring? Would it be necessary to disconnect the pair from the NIU in order
to do this?
TIA,
-Chris
