Another reason I LOVE my Thinkpad and will happily buy another (and
another, ...)

Plus, I have too many clients with hinge problems on HP/Compaq laptops.
It seems to span a wide array of models. They all replaced them with
ThinkPads and have been very happy. 

OK, they lust after the Compaq 1100 tablet PC I showed up with.  :) 
Wish it weren't so top heavy in laptop mode.
