[ale] Third mouse button cut and past

Check your X logs for mouse messages to start with.  I would see if the 
Xfree.org docs say anything about the 2.6.x series relating to your current 
version of X.  Or, check the kernel docs about caveats for X versions.  Check 
if you need recompilation of your X module to match your kernel.  If you have 
an Nvidia card you would be forced to do this.  I don't know about other video 
cards.  These are just some ideas!
