My appologies. Looks like I have redhat 8. I found the binary rpms I need for redhat 9. Can I use redhat 9 rpms on redhat 8? Or should I take your advice and just run the src rpm?
Many thanks.
John

After running an rpm -ivh on a .src file, cd to /usr/src/redhat/SPECS,
then run rpmbuild -bb openssh.spec (may just be openssh), and it will
compile an RPM for your box and your software.
