Or, if you switch to DirecTV, you can get a "combo unit" that is designed to
receive the DirectTV digital signal. This has the added benefit that you get
get "top notch" compression, and suffer no more lossiness than if you watched
live.
I know DishTV has PVRs that probably work the same way, but I don't know
anything about them except they're not Tivo.
