Hi folks,
Let me introduce myself. I'm Terry Countryman. I work at the Georgia
Institute of Technology (Ga Tech) in the College of Computing (CoC)
in the Computing and Networking Services (CNS) group.
I'm also the USENIX University Liaison (Campus Representative) for Ga.
Tech. Part of the duties of being the USENIX Campus Rep. is to
encourage faculty, staff, students and members of the local
computing/technical communities to participate in USENIX conferences,
symposia, and workshops.
"USENIX is the Advanced Computing Systems Association. Since 1975
the USENIX Association has brought together the community of
engineers, system administrators, scientists, and technicians
working on the cutting edge of the computing world."
For general information about USENIX, please check-out:

and what USENIX is about (ie. what USENIX does/provides):

For the current schedule and descriptions of upcoming USENIX
conferences, check-out:

Many of the USENIX conferences are co-sponsored with ACM, IEEE,
and/or their European and Asian affiliated societies/associations.
----
The USENIX Association has a special technical group called SAGE. I am
also the University Liaison (Campus Representative) this group.
"SAGE is organized to advance the status of computer system
administration as a profession, establish standards of professional
excellence and recognize those who attain them, develop guidelines
for improving the technical and managerial capabilities of members
of the profession, and promote activities that advance the state of
the art or the community."

----
Occasionally, I will be posting information about USENIX and SAGE
sponsored conferences and conference related calls-for-papers (CFPs) to
the 'ale' mailing list.
----
The ALE mailing list managers told me it is OK to post USENIX and SAGE
related info to the mailing list because it would be of interest to
some of the members/subscribers.
