Probably not "missing". could be differences in megabytes = 1 000 000
bytes vs megabytes = 2^20 bytes or formatted vs unformatted capacity.
The drive manufactures lie about these things to make their drives seem
bigger. Of course, they are not really lieing, ust choosing the most
flattering standards ("the wonderful thing about standards is there are so
many to choose from!").
