[ale] NVIDIA cards and drivers

Can anyone else support this claim? 
>From experience, I know that it is invalid at least from the games I have seen 
(Racer and Foobilliard only). I also know that my 32MB cards did not perform 
half as well as my 64MB card using the same brand name. I am having a tough 
time believing James.
I have all of the required hardware and will be trying to see the results. If 
I get decent performance with the open source drivers I will be happy - even 
if I don't see my reflection in the pool on Descent3 (level1). My goal is 
just be able to play the 3D games. Speculation: If I wanted "the best" I 
would have picked up that used ATI 9700 for $199 (and Windows?).
