[ale] Linux and the Nomad Jukebox 3

Hello all,
	I may be getting a Nomad Jukebox 3 gratis in the near future. Has
anyone had experiences (good or bad) with this machine and Linux?
Also, are there problems with the ale archives?  It's giving an error
when I try to search the archives.
