[ale] nt file resizing and wifi routers

Had to work late plus get groceries in the storm so had no heart to work 
on the Inspiron laptop last night.  I will work on this evening since 
the user is starting ask "What's up with the laptop?"  I'll try resizing 
the NTFS partition down as far as possible, plus I'll post what works 
and what doesn't on a default SuSE 8.2 install.
