I saw the notice that MySQL 4.0 is finally officially released as
stable. So I read the docs and discover that v. 4.0+ supports a maximum
table size of
8 MILLION TERABYTES!!! 
Yep! 2^63 Bytes.
I am impressed. Greatly impressed. Even NASA would be hard pressed to
stuff that full for a while.
The ssl support is still a bit iffy around the edges according to the
docs for 4.0.12 so stunnel is still the game for that.
Now add php-gtk to the mix and apps can be put onto Windblows desktops
...
