Jason,

RH8 supports a net install using FNS-mounted source directories. There
is documentation on how to do this on the first install CD. It is quite
easy pretty speedy with a boot floppy setup for kickstart.

Fulton,

Bellouse's use of PPPoE will not be a showstopper. The downloading of 1G
of binaries over a 1.1Mbps line (at best) will work, but it will take a
while.

Now SERVING the net install over ANY DSL line will be a painful
experience since the upload speed is around 128-256kbps.

In fact, PPPoE is no considerable overhead at all (it won't be noticed)
on any box better than a 100Mhz firewall.

Now if Bellouse would let me get access to the 10Mb fiber line they ran
to the end of my driveway 2 years ago...
