[ale] OT: Windows NIC problem...

The green LED is used to indicate that the link (physical layer) between the NIC and the HUB/Switch is good. If you are not getting a link, check your cable. Make sure it is a normal straight cable and not a crossover cable. Make sure the cable is not connected to an uplink port on the hub/switch. If so, try moving it to a different port. Try a different cable.

1) Bad cable
2) IRQ conflict or bad driver
