[ale] Samba tricks?

ok. just create a share called "printer_drivers" on the samba server, make
it readable by the world in the samba.conf file and put all of your drivers
on it.
When you crank up a Windows client and it asks for a driver, point it to
that share (You might have to create the share on the client first using the
old right click on My Computer --> map network drive).
On a windows print server, iirc, it will automagically download the correct
driver to the client if the client is configured correctly (it asks whether
you want to use/install a driver on the client or use one from the print
server.
Of course, I think my last windows install (2k Pro) had about every driver
under the sun included in the initial install so I didn't have to install
from the disk, but it was a while back so I could be in error.
When I set up my samba server as a print server all of the print drivers etc
were taken care of by the Linux pricing (cups, I think) set-up on the samba
server. At this point you need to configure the samba.conf file to allow
the world to print.
