Subject: [ale] Limiting web browsing with IPTables?
I need to limit a machine's access to only certain [known] sites. At the
moment
I have a bootleg setup where Mozilla is configured to use a non-existant
proxy
on all but the specified sites.
Instead of doing it that way I figured I could set up some IP table rules to
do
it and if the user tries to access a site that is not allowed they would be
forward to a site explaining why they can not reach their desired location.
I started looking at gShield but it doesn't seem configurable to do what I
want.
Does anyone know some simple rules that would do this?

All governments suffer a recurring problem: Power attracts pathological
personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the
corruptible. Such people have a tendency to become drunk on violence, a
condition to which they are quickly addicted.
