Friday, June 13th (tomorrow), an introduction to Linux will be given
at 6PM in the new CSU "Center for Commerce and Technology". The following
day (June 14th) we'll be hosting an install-fest from 10AM-5PM. Anyone
who would like to learn how to use Linux is welcome to bring in a
computer and recieve volunteer help getting started with Open Source.
A 386 processor, 16MB of RAM, and a 100MB hard drive is enough for
running a small Linux distribution comfortably. All the software will
be provided for free (legally!) Dual-booting Linux and Windows is also
an option!
This is a great way to learn competitive IT skills in your spare time.
It's also a fun and rewarding hobby. If you are already experienced
with Linux or a BSD-derivitive, please show up to lend a hand with
the newcomers!
For more information, please visit the CHAOS website:

ON SATURDAY, bring your computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and a power
strip. If you're interested in building a home router/firewall for your
broadband Internet connection, bring at least two network cards as well.
I'll be doing an OpenBSD table for this purpose, and a few of us have
experience with the Linux Router Project as well.
Cheers!
