Running RedHat 9.0
1. I have tried adding options ide-cd dma=1 to the modules.conf (even put it
in there 3 times)
2. I have tried copying /etc/sysconfig/harddisks as hardiskhdb and
uncommenting USE_DMA line.
3. I tried upgrading to the latest RedHat (kernel and all).
With all of that, I can NOT get the DVD to boot with DMA - and I am forced to
do the hdparm command.
What command will tell me why the setting is not setting?
How can I fix it?
