[ale] Monitors

ok,

Lets say I have a monitor by a certain company.  When I select the monitor I
have it is not listed.  I cannot seem to get XFree to work with it.  The
resolution will not go high enough.  What do you guys normally do.  Is there
a way to install a monitor not listed in the RH 9 setup?
