[ale] BSD(s) vs Linux

Could be. I cannot find my "Just For Fun" book about Linux Torvalds right
now - with the details on his discussion with Jobs and the chief technical
dude.  I am a little foggy on the details, but I do recall Linus was not
interested in joining Apple.
