Contrast ratio of 400:1 or better
Max display resolution should be noted so you don't get hosed
Screen refresh rate in milliseconds, faster is better
Bad pixel return specs, usually 8 minimum before a return allowed
Those are the really relevent info. The higher the price the more
likely it's a decent model. I've noted that high resolutions aren't
available til you go way up in price. I've wanted 19" LCDs at 1600x1200
w/450:1 contrast but those are way up in price. NEC makes a 1760NX that
is 17" with good specs and a thin bezel but you'll pay $450 for sure. I
think the max resolution is 1280x1200 too. CRTs are still way better
for my particular purposes til the prices drop a lot. The LCDs I priced
that fit what I wanted were around $1000 and up. Usually about $1800 or
more. I'll stick with CRTs for now.
