Sure it would: Those who can program under Linux are generally better
programmers. :) Besides, John Q. Public doesn't know that.
Regardless of the validity of the point, I am just hoping that we get a
secure/easy to use/fully auditable voting system (so we won't get the same
results that we had from the last election - or end up in our current
position again). And, I predict that if that were to happen the results would
inspire us to re-examine the voting system as a whole.

Yes. But at least Texas has a different "flavor" of politics and laws. From
the research that I did, I am A LOT safer here in Texas (from
unconstitutional laws or government) so long as I don't get accused of
murder. ;)
